Takeda Joins Cast of Naomi Watts and Sean Penn Film

Producers from River Road Entertainment added TV/Film actor Scott Takeda to the cast of the studio feature film Fair Game.

The political drama is based on a autobiography written by Valarie Plame, a CIA agent whose identity was revealed by White House officials allegedly trying to discredit critics of the Iraq War. Plame’s husband wrote a 2003 New York Times op-ed piece saying that the Bush administration had manipulated intelligence about weapons of mass destruction to justify the war.

Watts (’21 Grams’) plays Plame and Sean Penn (‘Mystic River’) was just signed to play her husband Ambassador Joseph Wilson. The director is Doug Liman (‘The Bourne Identity’). Takeda costars as Dr. Jonas, a nuclear physicist who Plame visits while investigating WMD’s.
