Takeda Books Guest Star Role in CW’s “Easy Money”

This month, TV/Film actor Scott Takeda begins filming a guest starring role for the CW Network’s newest dramatic series “Easy Money.’ He plays Dr. Shan Jing, a chiropractor in the fictional Texas town of South Nile. The role is potentially recurring.

The series airs Sundays on the CW Network. It follows members of the Buffkin Family who run a payday loan store. Laurie Metcalf (Roseanne) stars as the matriarch and Jeff Hephner (The O.C.) plays her oldest son Morgan. Tom Shales of the Washington Post writes that Easy Money is one of the Top-5 new shows of the 2008-09 television season.

Takeda’s episode titled “Bassmaster” will air during late Spring 2009. Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider (‘The Sopranos’) write and Kenneth Johnson (‘V’) directs.
