Takeda Guest Stars On Disney’s “National Treasure”

TV/Film actor Scott Takeda is on-location this week in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to film a top-of-show guest star role for the new Disney+ series “National Treasure.”

“Everything is very hush-hush right now, but I’m very excited to join this spinoff of this franchise,” said Takeda. “Let’s see, what can I say? The food on set is really great. The weather is wonderful. Yep. That’s about it. I can’t wait for the series to drop later this year."

Leading the 10-episode series are “National Treasure” veterans Marianne Wibberly, Cormac Wibberly and Jon Turtletaub. Jerry Bruckheimer Television and ABC Signature are the production companies.

7/7/22 UPDATE - Disney just released the official name of the series which will be titled “National Treasure: Edge of History.” The series will have it’s on Comic-Con panel on July 21st.

7/21/22 UPDATE: Disney just released a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of “National Treasure: Edge of History.” Don’t blink because at 1:22, you’ll spot Takeda in a quick shot handing a book to Catherine Zeta-Jones.
