Takeda in Hulu Original Film “Control Freak”

This week, TV/Film actor Scott Takeda is in LA for the screening of the Hulu original film “Control Freak,” starring Kelly Marie Tran (“Star Wars: Episode IX”) and Miles Robbins (Universal Picture’s “Blockers”) and written-directed by Shal Ngo. Takeda supports as Dr. Chen.”

“I have to admit horror films are way too scary for me, but this is a good film,” said Takeda. “It’s more of a psychological thriller, and Kelly Marie does such a great job in the lead role. I’m really proud that this is my first horror film. Also, it was so cool to watch this film at CAA.”

This film originally started as a short film that aired on Hulu’s “Bite Sized Halloween” special in 2021. Executives were fascinated if Ngo had plans to expand it, and ultimately green-lit the project.
