Takeda Attends Red Carpet of “The Space Between Us”

This week, TV/Film actor Scott Takeda walked the carpet of the world premiere of the STX Studios release of The Space Between Us at the Arclight Theatres on Sunset Boulevard in LA. The star-studded affair attracted scientists Bill Nye the Science Guy and astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, as well as actresses Malin Ackerman and Emmanuelle Chriqui. The sci-fi adventure film stars Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Carla Gugino, Britt Robertson and Janet Montgomery. Takeda costars as mission flight surgeon Gary Loh. The film is about the first child born on Mars.

“I had a lot of help in preparing for this role,” said Takeda to The Hollywood Reporter.  “In my research, I talked to retired NASA flight surgeon Scott Parazynski about his experience in space and how the low gravity conditions on Mars this would affect a crew that had to deliver a baby.”

“The Space Between Us” opens nationwide on Friday February 3rd.
