Takeda Joins the Cast of “The Tale”
Producers have added TV/Film actor Scott Takeda to the cast of the indie feature “The Tale,” written and directed by Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner Jennifer Fox (‘Beirut: The Last Home Movie’). This investigative-thriller centers around Jennifer, a globe-trotting journalist whose mother finds a story she wrote at age 13 describing a sexual triangle with two adult coaches. With her mother’s help, she attempts to locate everyone connected to the story and discovers that her recollection of the events are far removed from what actually happened.
It stars recent Oscar-nominee Laura Dern (‘Wild’) and Oscar-winner Ellen Burstyn (‘Interstellar’) as the daughter and mother dealing with the crisis. Costarring are Sebastian Koch (‘The Danish Girl’), Elizabeth Debecki (‘Everest’), Jason Ritter (‘Parenthood’) and John Heard (‘Home Alone’). Takeda costars as Mr. Watada opposite Dern and Heard.
Lawrence Moverman (‘The Messenger’) produces along with Laura Rister (‘Margin Call’).
