This week, TV/Film actor Scott Takeda begins location shoots in Los Angeles for a SAG-AFTRA short film titled “Sedation.’ The story is about Dr. Normal Fields, an anesthesiologist living with “antisocial personality disorder” which leaves him unable to feel emotions. Can he truly love his family, and can society have sympathy for a sociopath?
The film stars Brandon Barash (‘General Hospital’), Sally Pressman (‘Army Wives’), and Sprague Grayden (‘Paranormal Activity 2 and 3’). Takeda plays Dr. Field’s best friend Steve. The casting director is Rachel Dill of Telsey + Company.
The film is directed by Robert McDermott and written by Benjamin Enos. Both are USC MFA students doing their final thesis film.
