TV/Film actor Scott Takeda is on-location in South Carolina this week after booking the costarring role of Dr. Marley for the second season finale of David E. Kelley’s latest series “Mr. Mercedes.” Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro pen this episode, and Jack Bender directs.
This series is a mystery thriller based on a novel by Stephen King with the same name. It tells the story of a psychopathic killer (Harry Treadaway) who drives a stolen Mercedes into a crowd and a recently retired detective (Brendan Gleeson) who tries to bring him down. “Mr. Mercedes” is one of three series by Kelley currently airing, including Amazon Studios’ “Goliath” starring Golden Globe winner Billy Bob Thornton and HBO’s Emmy-winning “Big Little Lies.”
The second season will begin airing on August 22 with 10 episodes.
